Custom maps created in map editor don't feature support for competitive multiplayer.Fans noticed on a Twitch stream of the game that the custom map editor only included options for the game's challenge maps - not the competitive multiplayer ones. A thread then sprung up in the official Far Cry 4 forums (spotted by ), where dozens of angry posters voiced complaints and threatened to cancel their pre-orders.When asked about the issue on Twitter, Ubisoft Montreal's Creative Director Alex Hutchinson:'I direct the game but I don't set budgets or timelines. We always squeeze in as much as we can, but we're always prioritizing. We're going to keep supporting the game, so hopefully we can get it done post release. No promises, but we will try.'

Ubisoft release a new patch for Far Cry 4 with the co-op update. The latest patch will now enable players to play co-op on user created maps or in single player if you prefer. All maps can now. The Map Swapper allows you to play Far Cry 4 console maps on your PC. It also loads other systems' maps on PS4. It works in coop mode too! Hey dude, I'm on PS4 and make a lot of maps tailored to a more coop focused challenge, I'm not a miracle worker but me and my friends have a lot of fun taking them on, and I can always use another co op partner to play with.If you want to know what some of my maps are like you can search for 'Occupied Territory' (by Xenoptic, the only one not BOSSNEWVETERAN), it's an open ended assault map with multiple enemy emplacements and a focus on guerilla warfare, hit and run tactics and cooperation to fool the enemy. You start out stealing weapons and supplies (every single building has supplies/weapons in it, and the map has a few hidden locations with extra firepower) and work your way to more advanced firepower/tactics, like stealing a truck with a mounted MG on it and going to town or taking over an enemy mortar emplacement and luring enemy soldiers into your area of effect with your coop partner spotting.All enemy emplacements and enemies themselves are found along the road, so if you get lost trying to find people just follow the road to civilization. It's also my first actually finished map ever made (I only ever fucked around on FC3 editor) so it's pretty rough around the edges.
I would love to show you my newest map!So my old comment got deleted so i'm going to keep this relatively short. I have made over 100 maps in both FC2 and FC3 and love the map editor; its my favorite part of the fallout series. I just made a map that has all you seem to be looking for: forests, rivers, lakes, mountains, beautiful landscaping. Using different types of shaders, the sky is pitch-black. A village is tucked away in these mountains, and it has been through an earthquake and many other hardships, as many buildings lay demolished. In addition, enemy molotov and flamer units have burned whats left of the city while snipers stand guard on the rooftops. Using the cover of night, murder the guards, disable the alarms.Now, it gets challenging.
I aimed for this map to be as intense and difficult as Far Cry 2 was if you have played it, and it is very difficult without getting impossible. Once you clear the first wave of troops, 2 waves of molotov and flamer troops come in to try to finish the job. After that, a wave of beheaders rush in from all sides to try to storm the village. Not hard enough? This whole time, an enemy mortar team will try to blow you up from a hill outside the village. Still too easy? The last round consists of 5 squads of 2 flamers and 1 rocket trooper to try to storm the village all night long, lighting up the sky as well as the village.
And if that wasn't hard enough, there is also 2 more mortars to take care of on the surrounding hills outside of the city. You finish when the sun comes up.
